I did the blue cover / green poster! HURRAH!
To help celebrate the release of Oliver Wilde’s album, we have put together something a little special. Above you will see some photos, the gold cassette with the red cover is one of the tapes that is available with the first 30 preorders from Rise Records in Bristol, (available HERE) The artwork is by the ever creative Heinz Junkins and ourselves.
The other cassette is the whole album, with alternate artwork by Howling Owl, on a white tape and very very limited. We will be assembling little packages containing some bits and pieces, as well as a copy of the tape and free download of the whole album, THEN we will be leaving them in places, and whoever finds them can have them for free. It will be something to treasure. There will be less than 10 of these, and we plan to hit a few cities and maybe some other places. We will reveal photos and cryptic clues that will lead you to the packages next week.
When I first heard a track from Oliver, I spoke with him about putting out a cassette, because that’s how he primarily creates and records his music. I never dreamt that 12 months down the line we would be putting out his album (our first) on vinyl.
He is out of hospital now, and on the road to recovery, there are some tour dates in support of the release, including a special party at Rise. Oliver will be touring fully later in the year.
Keep your eyes peeled on twitter and facebook for the clues!

'Music is Dead' Record store day 12” artwork for Howling Owl Records
some of my favourite things I’ve ever done!
I recently did the artwork for the new Spectres 12”, the cover is screen printed, and this is the front design. I will post the whole package when it is finished!
Just a couple of bits from the tail end of last year which I didn’t / haven’t put online yet. Top is a cover for a compilation put together by GoldFlake Paint, the second is a poster for Artrocker Magazine / Towns, the third was the sleeve design for velcro Hooks’ 12” and the bottom was my centrefold poster for Crack magazine and a poster for an Xtra mile Frank Turner gig! All in all a few bits I’m rather proud of!
Here’s one side of the 7” sleeve for the rad Texan garage-pop duo

The final colour version and the original inked scan are here, the flip side of the artwork is a monoprint/stencil of their logo. I’ll have pics of the finished article soon.
